The Willo Historic District is in the city of Phoenix. It's boundries are McDowell Road to the south, Thomas Road to the north, Central Avenue to the east and 7th Avenue to the west.
The Willo District architecture is primarily an ecclectic mix of "revival" styles. Most of the homes were built between the late 1920's to the mid 1940's, with the older real estate in the south and east portions of the neighborhood. The area's diverse architecture includes bungalow, tudor, english cottage, spanish colonial, mediteranian, pueblo, international, and southwest sytle homes.
The Willo district was selected as on of the nation's "Top 10 Cottage Communities" by Cottage Living Magazine in 2007.
